A Layer - Choose one. Answer question completely. 5 points will be given (2 points for a clear opinion/ thesis statement, 2 points for support from the novel, 1 point for answering the question completely).
1. Analyze the creature's personality. In your written analysis, discuss the
different aspects of his character by addressing questions such as these:

b. What does he want most in life? Why does his goal seem
unattainable?
c. How have the creature's experiences shaped his opinion of himself?
Does he have potential for good as well as evil? To whom does he
compare himself and why?
Support your analysis by citing events from the story as well as quoting
statements made by the creature.
2. Many people who have not read Shelley's novel think that Frankenstein is
the name of the creature, not the creator who brought him to life. This
mistake, however, has a certain symbolic truth. How do you think Victor
and his creature are doubles to each other? Or do you? Support your
answer by citing evens from the story as well as quoting statements made
by each character.
3. Who do you believe is the villain, the bad guy, in Frankenstein? Victor has
suffered great miseries at the hand of the creature. Yet the creature feels
Victor is to blame for his sufferings. Does Victor "deserve it"? Support
your analysis by citing events from the story as well as quoting Victor
and/or the creature.

ReplyDeleteIn Frankenstein I believe that Frankenstein is the villian. He made the creature and didnt think about his consequences before hand. I think he deserved what the creature did because he just left him to fend for himself when he obviously couldnt. The creature explained how scared and alone he was and I really think he meant that and in the end he was remorseful.
